Paper Plate Menorah by Beth Kingston

This is such a fun activity to do with kids!

Supplies:

  • one (1) paper plate

  • nine (9) candle die cuts

  • trimmer or scissors

  • Xyron 5” Creative Station with Permanent Adhesive refill

  • paint/mists/crayons/markers/glitter to color plate and candles

  • popsicle stick

Instructions:

  1. Fold plate in half and flatten, then cut at fold. Set one half of plate aside.

  2. Color candles and other half of plate as desired. Set aside.

  3. Run uncolored half of plate through Xyron 5” Creative Station. Peel off clear film.

  4. Remove backing and lay on table with adhesive side facing up.

  5. Start with center candle and press bottom edge of candle on to the plate (note – the center candle should be taller than the others). Adhere remaining candles – four on either side of the center candle.

  6. Press top edge (about 1.5”) of popsicle stick to the bottom center of the plate (lined up directly below the center candle) to adhere.

  7. Line up colored half of plate with the edges of the uncolored plate and press down to adhere.

  8. Use markers/paint/etc to draw menorah lines on colored plate.
